Rihanna remains that girl!

As of Wednesday, April 15, Rihanna is the first woman to surpass 200 million RIAA singles certifications — despite not releasing an album in 10 years.

On the all-time list, the "Higher" singer, 38, is in third place with 200.5 million units.

Drake holds the top spot with 277.5 million and Morgan Wallen follows behind with 215 million.

Rihanna's last album release was 2016's ANTI. Since then, she recorded "Lift Me Up" for the 2022 film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and “Friends of Mine” for 2025's Smurfs.

Rihanna has discussed the making of her next studio album for years. Speaking with Harper's Bazaar in 2025, she said she was feeling "really good about" it.

"There's no genre now. That's why I waited. Every time, I was just like, ‘No, it's not me. It's not right. It's not matching my growth. It's not matching my evolution. I can't do this. I can't stand by this. I can't perform this for a year on tour,'" she said.

Rihanna continued, "After a while, I looked at it, and I was like, this much time away from music needs to count for the next thing everyone hears. It has to count. It has to matter. I have to show them the worth in the wait. I cannot put up anything mediocre."

The "Diamonds" singer also teased it was going to be unlike "anything that anybody expects" and it won't be "commercial or radio digestible."

In March, Rihanna made headlines when a woman was accused of shooting an AR-style rifle at her Beverly Hills mansion. No one was hurt in the incident — but a source told PEOPLE that Rihanna was deeply shaken by it.

The woman, whose name is Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, was charged with one count of attempted murder, 10 felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and three felony counts of shooting at an inhabited dwelling or camper. On March 25, she entered a plea.
