Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s daughter, North West, just made a bold move before the year ended.

The 12-year-old has been winning over fans with her quirky and fun videos alongside her mom on TikTok but this time she’s making waves with her very own official Instagram account.

On Dec. 20, she made her Instagram debut, with her first post showing off her outfit in a playful and Gen Z-inspired way.

The soft-focus photo featured glowing lights and a dimly lit backdrop, but North West’s nod to her mother was clear with the signature pose, with both hands doing the peace sign.

Moreover, she also flaunted her stylish outfit, wearing an oversized graphic black Balenciaga tee paired with a mini skirt. Finishing the outfit, she wore studded boots, silver accessories and slicked-back hair.

“First post,” she wrote.

Since launching her Instagram, Ye and the SKIMS founder’s eldest child has already gained 477,000 followers and counting.

However, her very first post has already racked up over 1 million likes.

Fans dubbed her a “cool kid” and couldn’t help but mention her famous parents.

“Kanye lookalike!” one wrote.

Others were even impressed by her song choice, with one writing, “her music taste is actually crazy for a 12 yr old.”

And for some, there’s no doubt—they’re echoing the same sentiment about North West. She is already stealing hearts and showing she’s got star power just like her famous family.

“Iconic!” a follower said.

“North, you’re such an icon!” one wrote.

Another user echoed the same sentiment and noted, “Having more likes than followers is just as iconic as you think!!!”

“North is an icon icl,” a follower added.

The same goes for another who called her “An icon.”

Meanwhile, a different user commented, “Icon in the making.”

According to her Instagram bio, the pre-teen’s account is being “managed by parents.”

As mentioned, before the launch of her own official Instagram account, she and Kim Kardashian shared a TikTok account that garnered 19.5 million followers with videos that often featured trendy and relatable content that resonated with a younger audience.

However, Ye made a statement about his daughter being on social media.

In 2022, the rapper and songwriter shared a now-deleted Instagram post about his concern regarding North West’s TikTok activity.

“SINCE THIS IS MY FIRST DIVORCE I WHAT I SHOULD DO ABOUT MY DAUGHTER BEING PUT ON TIK TOK AGAINST MY WILL ?” he wrote, as mentioned by Page Six.

Prior to his statement, he also mentioned in an interview with Jason Lee of Hollywood Unlocked that he preferred that none of his four children use it.

“My children ain’t going to be on TikTok without my permission,” he mentioned in an exclusive interview.

Despite the “Monster” rapper’s early reservations, it seems like North West is carving out her own social media presence and clearly, fans are excited to see what she shares next.
