For most people, Valentine’s Day means an excuse to buy some flowers, get dressed up, and go out for a nice dinner. For Dua Lipa and Callum Turner, on the other hand, the day of love saw a red-carpet twist—thanks to Berlin Film Festival.

Last night, the couple stepped out for the premiere of Rosebush Pruning, a satirical tragedy-slash-comedy thriller loosely based on Marco Bellocchio’s 1965 Italian film Fists in the Pocket. For Lipa, the holiday called for a transparent black dress—or, more specifically, a loosely-knit Chanel gown made custom by Matthieu Blazy.

The piece, styled by Lorenzo Posocco, was designed with an off-the-shoulder neckline and playful detailing at the calves, and was worn over a black thong for a striking red-carpet moment. The star accessorized with a Bvlgari Serpenti necklace and little diamond earrings in her second, third, and seventh piercings—every but her firsts. For shoes, she slipped into black Christian Louboutin pumps.

Hair stylist Peter Lux gave Lipa a slicked-back bun, and makeup artist Celia Burton helped her eyes pop with a soft touch of purple eye shadow.

Turner, who stars in the forthcoming project alongside Riley Keough, Elle Fanning, and Pamela Anderson, wore a light-blue dress shirt and brown suit for the evening, paired with a paisley tie. As they posed for photos together, the two looked absolutely in love.
